Comunity service

 I. Introduction
Hi my name is carlos quinones & i recently did community service. I completed my hours at hamilton boys & girls club. I served 10 hours, i cleaned , helped with the kids ect.

II.    Profile of the organization(s) you worked for. Who are they? What do they do to serve the community? When do they provide their services? Where do they provide their services? Why is there a need for their services?

The organizations ive completed my community service is the boys and girls club. they serve to keep kids out of trouble , the streets , out of harms way. they provide their services in every side of town for examples the west side , tip hill , the east side ect. there is a need for the boys and girls club services because if there wasnt there would be alot of kids in the streets. kids dont like staying home so the only thing that would be there is the streets , thet would be getting in to trouble , going to jail , maybe even get killed.

boys and girls club to enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

III.  Description of the specific tasks you performed for he organization or individual

for my community service i did a lot of things , for example i helped kids with there homework , mostly math. i also cleaned the lunch room after the kids were done eating , i would whipe the tables , sweep the floor , take the trash out and mop after. some days i would play some of the games with the kids like baskettball or rainbow , rainbow is when u call a color for example blue and whoever has the color blue on would have to run across without getting caught. i also would mop the boys bathroom or clean the windows of the front desk.

IV.  Discuss any memorable personal experience; positive or negative, you had during your service that you feel were important.    How these tasks impacted the mission of the organization or the well-being of the individ

one memorable personal experience is i got to stop two kids from fighting . the two kids were playing baskettball and one of them got hit so they started pushing eachother so i came and got them and sat at a table to talk it out. i told them that fighting doesnt solve anything , real friends sit down and talk about the situation so they talked it out and went back to playing baskettball.

i think everyone should take a day out of there busy schedule to do some community service . it makes you feel good about yourself when you help others in need .i think i made a difference , i got the opportunity to talk to children and inspire them to do good in life. i think it has a good impact on our society because its giving us a chance to do something good , to keep our city great

 Keeping kids from doing bad things

( Mission statement ) To inspire and enabling all young people to realize their full potential as productive , responsible , and young citizens.

Helped with cleaning , power hour (home work) and helping with youths programs gym and arts & crafts.

These two little kids got into a fight & i sat them down and talked to them , i let them kno that fighting doesnt resolve anything . after our talk they became friends.

It impacted the kids life by teaching them that violence is never the answer
